Rise of the Tomb Raider will take players 15-20 hours to complete its story mode.
The game’s lead designer, Mike Brinker, revealed the figure in a recent interview with PixelVulture, stressing that this estimation is simply for a run through of the game’s main linear story. Players looking to get “everything done” should expect to invest as many as 30-40 hours into the game.
“It all comes down to how you want to play through the game,” Brinker said. “Running through the game will take you around 15-20 hours. So expect double the play time collecting everything and exploring every secret tomb.”
Crystal Dynamics reportedly estimated the length of 2013’s Tomb Raider to be 12-15 hours. Brinker estimated hub areas of Rise of the Tomb Raider are three times larger than they were in the previous title.
“So there will be lots more to see and do in each area of the game, too,” he explained. “We have more challenge tombs, crypts, caves, and a bunch of extra things to do like the side missions for the Remnant people, and the tomb guardians.”
Rise of the Tomb Raider arrives on Xbox One and Xbox 360 on November 10 with releases on PC and PlayStation 4 coming in 2016. If you wanna take a turn on Lara’s latest adventure on the Xbox One but haven’t invested in a system yet, Microsoft announced a bundle on Monday that may be suited just for you.
