Sony has a total of 444.4 billion yen spent between April 1st, 2014 and March 31st, 2015. This is 5.4% of their total revenue.
Nintendo on the other hand ranked twentieth, with an amount spent that is meager in comparison. They spent 54.8 billion in yen, which equates to 10% of their total revenue: double the percentage of Sony. This just underscores the difference in revenue generated over the last year between these two companies.
This places Nintendo at 63rd for percentage of revenue spent on advertisement. This 10% gets absolutely squashed by mobile e-books provider For-side that spent 93.4% of its 400 million yen revenue in advertisement alone.
