The maps will be playable in day or night, using the ‘Real Blast destruction technology’ that you can’t wait to get your hands on. The developer went on to talk about post-launch, giving a lot of tease for the DLC to come.
‘In addition, all post-launch maps will be downloadable for free. We want players to stay with us for the long term and have ambitious post-launch plans that we will detail at a later stage.’
Pushed back from its original launch date of October to an official release of December, the wait for Rainbow Six Siege continues. Hopefully, the later release date will be worth it; some of you can find out what the game’s like sooner by signing up to the beta, scheduled to begin on September 24th. You can find out more on the beta, here.
There’s a lot riding on the success of Siege, what with Ubisoft saying that this has the potential to be the best selling FPS they’ve ever had, even better than Far Cry 4. Siege’s ‘replayability’ will have a lot to do with the long term success of the game; there’s plenty of talk about introducing new content regularly.
Tom Clancy’s: Rainbow Six Siege launches officially on December 1st this year, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
