Though first talked about back at E3, Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes finally has an announcement trailer, showing just what is going on in the “RPG-style” game. According to the game’s updated website, a mobile game, Galaxy of Heroes is set to focus on collecting memorable heroes from throughout the Star Wars universe, allowing you to upgrade their skills, form teams, and ultimately “fight in memorable, RPG-style turn-based battles across iconic locations,” including Hoth, Bespin, Tatooine, Coruscant, and more.
The game will even include light and dark side campaigns, along with characters from all six films and the shows, Star Wars: Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels.
Looking to have a bit more depth than the usual press-go-to-see-them-fight games that have rose to prominence, Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes also allows for full gear management for your characters and even special leader abilities “like Darth Sidious’s Force Lightning [and] Chewbacca’s Wookiee Rage.”
Not to be confused with the other Star Wars mobile game announced not too long ago, Star Wars: Uprising, Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes currently has no release date or pricing, though free-to-play would be a good bet. Currently the game is slated for a holiday release on iOS and Android. What do you think of the trailer? Let us know in the comments.
