27-year-old James Stumbo and 18-year-old Kevin Norton allegedly made threats online about “Columbine pt. 2” and “another “Boston Bombing” on Facebook. At one point, Stumbo commented to another member of the chat “My AR-15 says you lose”. Other Facebook posts by Stumbo claim that “Kevin Norton and I are ready for worlds Boston here we come!” Steve Goldwyn, Stumbo’s lawyer, claim that the men frequently spoke to each other like that.

Authorities brought in Stumbo and Norton in Auguest, before the event even began. Upon investigating their car, authorities found an AR-15 rifle, a 12-gauge shotgun, a hunting knife, and approximately 300 rounds of ammunition. The would-be shooters’ attorneys plan on dismissing the charges brought against their clients. With the amount of evidence found by investigators, however, Stumbo and Norton have quite a case built against them.
