It’s official, Microsoft’s Halo 5: Guardians has “gone gold,” which means that the first person shooter has been finalized and is on its way to the factories for mass production. It was a three year journey Producer Josh Holmes said in a blog post.
Of course this isn’t the end of the development or distribution of new content after the game is released as Holmes said Halo 5 will have, “monthly releases of new content and experiences… such as new REQ content and more than 18 free multiplayer maps.”
Microsoft published an infograph featuring key stats of Halo 5 which said there will be eight different playable characters in co-op campaign and the campaign itself will offer 15 different missions and run the average of eight to twelve hours on normal difficulty, depending on how quick or slow players run through the levels. There will also be thirteen hidden skulls in the campaign which should help elongate the campaign for players who are looking to find every secret object. The full infograph can be seen below.
Halo 5 drops on Xbox One October 27th, 2015.
