Battlefield 4’s Free DLC, Community Operations, launches today.
The DLC has been in the works since February 2015, and started as a blank canvas developed with the help of players. Reasonable feedback was considered into the development, and DICE got to work on creating the DLC.
The map takes place in a jungle with a waterfall, a temple, and an old research facility where they used to experiment on monkeys. The map is infantry focused, but will support RHIB and Quad Bikes. With the new map is a fall patch, but DICE has held back notes on that so far.
The DLC has to be one of the most interesting things Battlefield 4 has going for it, with a community picked map, and the constant option to offer feedback during its testing phase, DICE has done something that most developers only dream of doing. They gave fans something they wanted.
