Chipotle has an ongoing campaign against genetically modified ingredients, and they just released a Space Invaders-inspired game to support it.The game, called "Taste Invaders," involves the player taking control of a burrito (instead of a space ship) and firing missiles at various artificial ingredients including Sodium Alginate and Polysorbate 80.

While this certainly isn’t the first time a fast food chain has made a game (looking at you, Burger King), this could be one of the more “bandwagon”-y ones. While genetically modified ingredients and organisms are generally avoided and feared, it tends to be from misunderstandings. The food is harmless. But thanks for the Space Invaders clone, Chipotle.
