DICE LA will likely be making its own game
DICE Los Angeles was set up in 2013 as a support studio that worked on DLC for Battlefield 4. In an interview with IGN, EA exec Patrick Soderlund said it is “highly likely” that the studio will be making its own game, though it may be a while yet.Soderlund discussed starting the studio out with DLC: “When you start something new, sometimes it’s actually good for them to test the waters, try a couple expansion packs. You’ve got to have a good idea for a great game before you can make a game, and that takes time.” He explained that the studio has “done a great job” after Battlefield 4’s rough launch. “They’ve built great expansion packs, but more importantly they’ve created an identity for us in LA,” he noted.

EA CEO called the studio team a “really, really passionate group of people” and said he has no doubt the studio will eventually build a game all its own. There is no indication as to what kind of game the studio might create or when it would be released, but there are open positions if you’re interested in getting in on the action.
