Divinity: Original Sin 2’s Kickstarter ended recently with a final total of $2,032,434 in funding. 42,713 people pledged money towards the games development, smashing all the game’s stretch goals.
Larian Studios, the game’s developer, is actually still accepting donations through PayPal, so it’s unclear just how much money the game will end up with. Due to the outpouring of love (and money) from fans have allowed Larian to break Divinity’s final stretch goal: Game Master Mode.
The new game mode will allow players to create and manage their own dungeons. Dungeon masters can change around traps and enemies as other players move through them.
Larian has announced many intriguing tidbits about the game, including competitive questing, 4-player co-op, and the game will feature work by legendary RPG dev Chris Avellone.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 is set to drop in December 2016.
