Divinity: Original Sin's console port release date announced

Larian Studios' Divinity: Original Sin was a bit of a big deal last year. It released on PC to near universal acclaim from critics, taking certain awards like Gamespot's PC Game of the Year, and sold a very modest 1 million copies to date. But, the developer isn't finished with their new series yet, as they have now successfully kickstarted Divinity: Original Sin II, currently slated for a 2016 release, and are mere weeks away from releasing Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One.That's right. On October 27th, the action RPG of last year will be coming to consoles with a lot of changes and additions. Speaking to Gamespot, creative director Swen Vincke said, “we went a little overboard with it; we called it an Enhanced Edition, but I really think we made it much more than enhanced.” He went on to describe the changes as a “full makeover” of the original game, with new features such as an overhauled user interface and control scheme to accommodate controllers, some new endings for the game's story, some additional voice-acting, and both local and online co-op modes. This is to say nothing about the many tweaks and changes in the code such as weapon and spell rebalances.
