Valve is now joined by former key designer at Double Fine Productions, Brad Muir. Muir departed from Double Fine last week after a 12 year tenure. He plans to begin his employment at Valve in December.
Muir hasn’t commented on what his actual position will be or what games he will work on.
Before Muir was employed by Double Fine in 2003, he did work as a gameplay programmer for the Raven Software game, X-Men Legends.
More recently he was a programmer for Psychonauts and the lead designer for the cult favorite Brutal Legend. Muir was also the project lead on Kickstarter projects Massive Chalice and Iron Brigade.
Double Fine’s upcoming game, Headlander, will be a Metriodvania themed game riddled with humor.
