Download the Dark Souls III beta now
North American users can now download the Dark Souls III network test beta from the PlayStation Store, as confirmed by Bandai Namco.Although everyone is able to download the game, everyone who attempts to access the network requires a network test code, and you would have only gotten one if you signed up for access and been selected as a test user. This means that, sadly, it's not available for everyone to just pick up and play.

Although everyone is able to download the game, everyone who attempts to access the network requires a network test code, and you would have only gotten one if you signed up for access and been selected as a test user. This means that, sadly, it’s not available for everyone to just pick up and play.
Currently the stress test has only been announced for the PlayStation 4, and will only be held in Japan and North America. There has been no mention of a European beta as of the time of writing.
Dark Souls III’s test will be available to download until October 18, and you can view the three testing sessions below:
- Friday, October 16th, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. CEST
- Saturday, October 17th, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. CEST
- Sunday, October 18th, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. CEST
Dark Souls III is currently billed by Bandai Namco as having an April release in Europe and North America, but its not specified exactly when. Dark Souls III will land in Japan on March 24 though, so it’s probably a early-to-mid-April release if anytime at all.
In other Souls-esque news, Bloodborne’s expansion “The Old Hunters” is set for release on November 24, and will task players with exploring Yarnham in the footsteps of the legendary hunters alluded to in the game proper.
