Capcom and Sony have announced that Street Fighter V will be adding a new fighter to their roster, Laura. Laura is a Matsuda Jiu-Jitsu master and was officially announced on Wednesday. This is the third of four previously confirmed fighters by Capcom. The other two previously confirmed fighters were Necalli and Rashid.
With the addition of Laura there are now 14 confirmed characters. The game will feature 16 characters by the official launch. Four of the 16 will be all-new characters to the series.
This news is just in time for the new Street Fighter V beta opening later this month. The beta will support cross-platform play between the PC and PS4. Street Fighter V has no official release date, yet, but Capcom has stated that it will release within this fiscal year, which ends March 31, 2016.
