A recent Nielson’s report has just come out showing the most anticipated video games this holiday season. The study was conducted by questioning over 4,800 gamers between the ages of 7 and 54.
The data shows for the multi-platform games that Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 takes the lead with a 98% anticipation rating, followed closely by Fallout 4 and Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate with a 95% anticipation rating. With Assassin’s Creed: Unity’s poor performance and release last year, it’s a surprise that Syndicate is as high up as it is.
Nielson also divided up the data by each console’s exclusive games. Halo 5 has the strongest showing for the Xbox One with a 100% anticipation rating. The PS4 has The Nathan Drake Collection sitting at about 75%, which isn’t half bad for an HD port of three of the PS3’s more popular titles. The WiiU seems to be keeping up with the “big boy consoles” as well, with Yoshi’s Woolly World pulling a 91% rating, followed by Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival.
