While the first expansion for The Witcher 3, Hearts of Stone, released today digitally, limited edition retail copies of the title have been delayed.
Copies of the game sold at GameStop will not be available “for several days” according to a post in developer CD Projekt Red’s forums for The Witcher 3.
“It has come to our attention that, due to logistical problems, customers will be unable to obtain the physical edition of the game for several days after launch,” the post reads. “We are working with GameStop to fix this situation as soon as possible and deeply apologize for the inconvenience.”
The expansion is still available digitally for those who wish to play it today. Hearts of Stone is set to add more than 10 hours of new content to the game including new characters, side quests, and a new romance.
Hearts of Stone is the first of two expansions planned for The Witcher 3, the second of which is titled Blood and Wine and is expected to be released sometime during the first half of 2016.
“Step again into the shoes of Geralt of Rivia, a professional monster slayer, this time hired to defeat a ruthless bandit captain, Olgierd von Everec, a man who possesses the power of immortality. This expansion to ‘The Witcher 3 : Wild Hunt’ packs over 10 hours of new adventures, introducing new characters, powerful monsters, unique romance and a brand new storyline shaped by your choices.”
