Destiny users will automatically receive 400 Silver upon installing the update. Meaning, that players can purchase two basic emotes such as blowing a kiss or holding clasped hands in the air in victory for 200 Silver a piece. The two “legendary” emotes — one of which is The Carlton or known on Destiny as Enthusiastic dance — come at a steeper 500 Silver price.
For those wishing to purchase more than what the 400 Silver can get you at the newly-founded Eververse Trading Company, there are options to purchase Silver with real money. The pricing is as follows:
- $5 – 500 Silver
- $10 – 1,100 Silver
- $20 – 2,300 Silver
Purchasing all 13 emotes will cost a player just under $40 or 4,200 Silver. However, from now until the end of the year, active Guardians can earn free Silver simply by playing the game.
It is unclear as of now if Bungie will be adding items or more emotes to purchase through the Eververse Trading Company, but they are confident that the new microtransaction system will enable them “to bolster the service provided by our live team for another full year,” as they explained in a recent post on their blog.
