Rocket League is about to do a little time traveling.
On October 21, the DeLorean Time Machine car from the classic movie, “Back to the Future” will be available as new DLC as a new playable car for the game, and yes – October 21, 2015 is the exact date that Marty McFly travels to in Back to the Future Part II.
In a post on the PlayStation Blog, developer Psyonix said, “We’ve worked meticulously to recreate [the DeLorean’s] look, feel, and folding jet-wheels just as they appeared in the original motion picture trilogy.” The “Back to the Future pack” will cost players $2, and includes the DeLorean and its own “Burnt Rubber” rocket trail as flaming tire tracks.
If you’re pining for additional Rocket League content before next week, you’ll be able to pick up the “Revenge of the Battle-Cars DLC pack for $3.99, which adds new cars, wheels, toppers, paint-types and more, all inspired by Psyonix’s previous title, Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars. It also includes the debut of two new variations of existing arenas, Urban Station (Night) and Utopia Coliseum (Dusk), which Psyonix called “the last ‘regulation-style’ maps you’ll see for while,” as the next few arenas after that will focus on more “unusual” layouts and setting.
