With the release of Patch 3.0, StarCraft II has seen an update to the interface. For those of you familiar with Heroes of the Storm, you’ll notice a lot of similarities in the new StarCraft UI.
The UI was designed for all navigation to remain in the top left hand corner, with sub menus popping down along the screen and fancy 3D artwork. Blizzard is attempting to create a intuitive, seamless interface for all players, veteran and new to the StarCraft franchise.
Additionally, Blizzard is finally adding a permanent chat experience. The chat log will remain on the bottom right corner of the screen, with the ability to minimize, expand, pin, and select only certain conversations to listen in on.
