Much like the game’s first beta back in July, Street Fighter 5’s second beta has already run into some technical issues. According to a blog post from Capcom, matchmaking issues manifested soon after the beta went live.
Capcom had this to say:
“Unfortunately, several new issues arose last night in regards to our matchmaking system and the rate at which matches were made. We are not confident that the matchmaking rate will improve significantly throughout the course of this beta period. That said, user experiences will vary.”
Capcom has admitted that the beta will not run entirely as intended but should continue through October 25. They have warned users that matchmaking will likely be very slow. As of now, the only way to get in to the beta is to preorder the game. Given the issues both betas have had, however, that preorder is looking less and less safe.
