If reports are to be believed, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess may be getting a HD remaster, specifically for the Wii U.
This is according to multiple reports, from two different sources. Firstly, as reported by Eurogamer, a fan discovered a shop icon for Twilight Princess in the backend of the Wii U online shop. Secondly, also according to Eurogamer, an entry for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD has also reportedly been found within the Nintendo eShop servers, although the source listing claims this may be inaccurate.
Twilight Princess was first released for the Nintendo Wii and Gamecube back in 2006, being a launch title for the former. It received critical acclaim from practically all sources, and since then Nintendo has released remasters of other Zelda games, including The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D and The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD.
Nintendo is currently working on an unnamed new Zelda game for the Wii U, which is due out for release some time within the next year.
