A brand new mode has come to Grand Theft Auto V: Running Back.
The new mode, called Running Back, is based on American football. The mode is available now, but only to those who own the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One versions of Grand Theft Auto V. Like other recent updates for the game, those running the game on last-gen consoles are being left out.
Essentially football with cars, Running Back’s official description from Rockstar Games states: “Two teams (a total of 4-8 players) square off from opposing sides of a roadway. The elusive Runner, behind the wheel of a Benefactor Panto, must go the distance and get across the end zone line at the far end of the highway with the help of their offensive teammates in BF Biftas. Meanwhile, their defensive-minded opponents (also in Biftas) must ruthlessly block, crash and pummel their way to try to stop them.”
Running Back is playable in Grand Theft Auto Online. The mode can be played at these locations: Ranton Canyon Bridge, La Mesa Bridge, and Zancudo Tunnel.
Grand Theft Auto Online is the free online mode for Grand Theft Auto V. The game’s latest update, which focused on Halloween, also did not release on last-gen consoles. It is unknown if significant updates will continue to be released on the game’s multiplayer mode.
