Marvel has released the first trailer for the upcoming Captain America film, titled “Civil War.”
The trailer, which you can see below, gives a lot of the focus to Bucky Barnes, who is portrayed here by Sebastian Stan, previously appearing in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and very briefly in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Bucky, as it is shown, will divide the former Avengers allies, with one side deeming him a traitor for past actions and the other side welcoming him with open arms. Robert Downey Jr’s Tony Stark/Iron Man will lead the former side, while Chris Evan’s Steve Rogers/Captain America will spearhead the latter ‘rebel’ group.
Keeping in line with the comic series of the same name, Civil War will be welcoming back many supporting cast members from previous Marvel films. These include Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man, Anthony Mackie’s Falcon, Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch, Don Cheadle’s War Machine and Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow.
Captain America: Civil War will open in the U.K. and Ireland on May 6.
