Today, during the Nintendo Direct presentation, a video was released revealing a new character. The video is now up on YouTube revealing a new character. The video originates from today’s . Cloud Strife held the majority of voted on the Fighter Ballots. Because of the voters, he has now made his way into Super Smash Bros. 4.
As shown in the YouTube video, Cloud will have his arsenal of limit breaks available to him from his game, Final Fantasy 7. He has Cross-Slash, Blade Beam, Omni Slash. You get it, he has all of them. He can even use materia, and call upon summons such as Odin, Ifrit, Leviathan, and Bahamut.
The new character also comes with a new stage, Midgar. A Cloud amiibo will be coming out too. I wonder if he will be getting his Kingdom Hearts costume, but we’ll have to wait to find that out. According to GameSpot, “In addition, new Final Fantasy-themed costumes modeled after the series’ Chocobo character are coming to the game.”
Cloud has his costume from his Final Fantasy 7 and Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children. They both look pretty awesome. Secretly, I always wanted him to be in a Smash game, but I never believed that would ever happen. I am happy to find out that Cloud, one of my favorite characters from one of my favorite games, was able to make it into Super Smash Bros. 4. He’ll be an awesome addition to the Super Smash Bros. 4 roster.
Update: After this news had reached Hideo Kojima’s ears, he believes that he too can has a chance to make it into Super Smash Bros. 4.
