After opening submissions just a few weeks ago, Digital Extremes has announced the first round of user-generated content will be making its way into Warframe in the next update.
“TennoGen Steam Workshop is Warframe content created by Tenno, for Tenno,” says Digital Extremes Community Manager Rebecca Ford.
Since Warframe is an online game, the usual modding system is not an option. In what the developer promises will be multiple rounds to come, user content will be chosen, and released on the in-game store. Along with bragging rights, creators will also receive 30% of the profits from their creations. Check out all of the winning designs here.
Before round two of content however, Digital Extremes has paired with Polycount for a contest running from November 4th to December 1st. User-generated content will be chosen from the contest submissions, the winners receiving the 30% revenue royalties, but with the guarantee of at least $500 in the first three months.
Warframe, for those that haven’t checked out the co-operative multiplayer third person shooter, is a game about space ninjas, available free-to-play on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The user-generated content is only on Steam for the time being. Any of the submissions catching your eye? Let us know in the comments.
