Gold Mega Man amiibo to be exclusive to North America
It's been announced that the recently revealed Gold Mega Man amiibo will be coming exclusively to North American stores. The amiibo, fashioned like the Gold Super Mario amiibo exclusive at Wal-Mart, will come bundled with Mega Man Legacy Collection on the 3DS when it releases on February 23, 2016.This information comes in the form of a tweet by Capcom UK in response to a question about the golden amiibo's availability in Europe:

Mega Man fans in Europe need not worry; Capcom has assured that amiibo-unlocked content in the game can still be accessed by way of a regular Mega Man amiibo.
This continues a trend by Nintendo of having region-exclusive amiibos. A R.O.B. amiibo was released in North American and Japan, with each country receiving a different version of the character.
