Just Cause 3 is the latest installment in Avalanche Studio’s open world action adventure franchise, Just Cause.
The game is slated for a December 1st release date, and will be published by Square Enix. The latest trailer for the game was released, featuring the song “Fire” by British rock band Kasabian.
Kasabian was formed back in Lancaster in 1997, only having lost one member in the close to 20 year journey, Chris Karloff parted ways after 11 years with the band.
The new Just Cause 3 trailer features a beautifully done CG animation of Rico Rodriguez fleeing. I don’t even play this game franchise, and let me tell you, I want Just Cause 3. Not too long ago 4K footage of Just Cause 3 came out, and the game is confirmed to run at 1080p for the PlayStation 4 and 900p for the Xbox One. The game went gold close to one month ago now, meaning that production should be on track and ready for the December 1st release date. Shortly after the completion of the game, Avalanche Studio’s cut staff members from their team.
If you are wondering what the game feels like, Steve Wright has you covered with a hands on preview from October 3rd. Steve had this to say about his time with Just Cause 3, “At no point in my twenty minute demo was I clearly told what I should be doing. There were occasional moments when I would fly past a certain structure that might have a waypoint above it, suggesting that I should blow it up, but instead I continued on my merry way, blowing other stuff up that weren’t designated as being stuff that should be blown up in order to tick a box or get a few points. Don’t get me wrong, Just Cause 3 is a very fun game to play, I’m just worried about for how long. I left my twenty minute demo with little desire to play more. I felt that once I had seen all there is to see and destroyed all there is to destroy, I no longer had the taste for destruction.”
