Konami has revealed financial results for the six month period ending on September 30, 2015, detailing increases in sales and profits.
There was a nine percent increase in net sales over the same period last year, with a reported $894 million. Net income increased over last year as well, with the number reaching $60 million over last year’s $43 million. In an investor relations report, the Metal Gear Solid publisher noted that this performance was a sign of “gradual recovery.”
According to Konami, Metal Gear Solid V has shipped 5 million units (including downloads). Konami’s Digital Entertainment business showed an overall improvement of about 18 percent. Its Pachislot and Pachinko business, however, saw around a 19 percent increase.
