Dawn of War II: Retribution, the Warhammer 40,000 real-time strategy game that launched in 2011, just got new DLC. This DLC pack, however, doesn’t add any new story or missions. It adds blood, but like, a lot of blood.
The Ridiculously Bloody Blood Pack adds more gore wherever possible. The Steam page says this: “With massively increased frequency and size of blood effects, the Bloodpack DLC brings combat in Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War II: Retribution to a new level of brutality. Subtlety be damned!”
The description also warns that the blood may “affect battle visibility when in combat”, but the effects can be turned off if they are too distracting. The DLC is available for $2 and follows in suit with a number of similar DLC packs for Relic Entertainment’s past games Total War: Shogun 2 and Total War: Rome II. The full game is available on Steam for $7.49.
