We may see a reveal for a new Mortal Kombat X character later this week.
Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon teased that there may be a reveal for a new character for the fighting game at the Game Awards later this week. On Twitter, Boon said that viewers can look forward to seeing “Who’s Next” during the event this Thursday.
In September, developer NetherRealm had announced that there would be more Mortal Kombat X DLC characters released during the first half of 2016. The reveal on Thursday may be one of these characters. DLC characters released for the title so far include Jason Voorhees, Predator, Tremor, and Tanya.
Mortal Kombat X is available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game were cancelled earlier this year. The Game Awards will air at 6 p.m. PST / 9 p.m. EST this Thursday, December 3rd. Show organizers have promised a total of 10 world premieres at the show.
