Ever wanted a nifty device, separate from the game, any game, itself, that you could check with ease, your inventory, maps, even your music player? Well, Bethesda did just that with their Pip-Boy app for mobile android, made special for the new Fallout 4 game.
The app allows its players to look at their in-game stats, available maps, listen to the radio, check their inventory, and even play holotape games. Fans that went the extra mile and purchased the Fallout 4 Pip-Boy edition recieved an actual replication of the in-game Pip-Boy device, which has a feature that allows the player to attach their smartphone to it so it rests comfortably on their arm while they play the game, otherwise hands free.
As of right now, there is nothing to indicate that the app is in development for iOS devices. Sorry Apple fans! But good news, this app is compatible with any platform the player happens to prefer, whether it be the PS4, the Xbox One, or the PC.
In addition to the Pip-boy device, the order of this special edition comes with Power Armor Collectible Metal Packaging of the game itself, Physical Pip-Boy Pocket Guide for properly maintaining your genuine Pip-boy device, and a Vault-Tec Perk Poster, which players can use to keep track of their in-game perks, essentials for the proper Wasteland survivor! It’s no wonder this pre-order edition has already sold out.
Fallout 4 is set to launch on November 10th, with some leaked footage to tide its fans over for the days leading up to its released as a demo for the game has not been provided to the public.
