A newly released trailer for Pokkén Tournament on the Wii U has added another familiar face to its roster, though in a new and darker form: Shadow Mewtwo. The roughly two minute trailer puts on display the entire roster for the Pokémon fighting game, with Shadow Mewtwo appearing at the end for only a few seconds.
It’s clear that The Pokemon Company wants to keep this new fighter under wraps, as there is no gameplay shown of Shadow Mewtwo’s moves. Don’t let that get you down, however; a video displaying Shadow Mewtwo in action in the Japanese arcade version arrived earlier this month. With today’s trailer, any fears about this new fighter can be put to rest: Shadow Mewtwo will be availiable on both the Japanese arcade and Wii U versions of Pokkén Tournament.
Pokkén Tournament is set to release on Wii U in 2016.
