The 40-second video reveals that the Battle of Jakku will take place 29 years before the events of The Force Awakens, in which it becomes “the pivotal moment when the New Republic confronted key Imperial holdouts on a remote desert planet.”
The battle itself takes place in the aftermath of the Rebel victory in the Battle of Endor.
The Battle of Jakku will be free DLC released on December 1 for those who preorder the game prior to its November 17 release date on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 or PC. The DLC will then be made available to those who didn’t preorder the game one week later on December 8.
