This shut down comes after Insomniac declared that they had “millions” of people playing Outernauts but it was not enough to support the server cost. Insomniac stated, “Unfortunately, the current player count cannot keep up with the ongoing server costs.”
Outernauts debuted in 2012, and the developers stated that it would be “very hard to say goodbye.”
As of now, Insomniac Games is working on a Ratchet & Clank remastered version for the PS4 set to be released sometime in 2016.
