The 721 member of the Pokemon Universe has arrived – and its a fire/water type. Categorized as the “steam” Pokemon, Volcanion is the first of its kind to have the fire/water typing. The official description from Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire website describes the Pokemon, “It uses fire and water to create steam within its body, expelling explosive shock waves and boiling steam from the arms on its back.” The website also called Volcanion “mythical” hinting that it’s probably going to be a legendary Pokemon. Since, it was revealed on the Omega and Sapphire website, the Pokemon’s mythos will more than likely tie into that region somehow.
Further description of Volacnion reads, “The power is said to be great enough to blow away an entire mountain, gouging out the earth and changing the shape of the land.”

Currently the new Pokemon cannot be found in the regular gameplay and will more than likely be an event-only Pokemon sometime in the future.
