Destiny's new Sparrow races come with Microtransactions
In an update to their website Destiny developer Bungie has released new details about the game's much anticipated Sparrow races, including microtransactions. Starting today Destiny players will be able to take part in races of the game's Sparrow, speeder bikes, to earn in game rep and gear.Bungie also added a new form of currency, silver, which is purchased with real money to Destiny earlier this year in October. Until now silver was used to buy in game emotes like dances.

Along side the new Sparrow races Bungie has added new items to the silver currency shop, known as the Eververse Trading Company. Some items up for sale include, Sparrow frames, shaders, emblems, horns, and a record book that tracks racing league stats stats.
