Final Fantasy XV development nearing an end, game is playable
Final Fantasy XV's development is coming to a close, with an official post on the forums by programmer Kitade. The post, translated by Gematsu(via GameSpot), has detailed that the game is playable from start to finish."We're at the point where we can play the game in its entirety from start to finish. [...] From this, everyone on the development team can get an overall view of the game." The post later went on to read, "They're polishing every element, making adjustments to gameplay, and preparing to complete the game and all of its contents with the highest possible standard."

Gematsu finished the translated post with this, “The first half of the game is finished with the quality of a final product, and you get the sense you’re playing it in its final form.”
Final Fantasy XV is scheduled for release on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in 2016, with an official launch date being announced at a March 2016 event.
