Rock Band 4 has helped bring the rhythm game back into popularity, but it doesn’t plan on stopping there. Harmonix has already discussed how they plan to use the game as a base and keep adding more features and tracks so players can rock and roll all night and party every day. Now they’re getting a bit more in detail about what’s to come in 2016.
In a recent blog post, Daniel Sussman discussed bringing in features that fans of Rock Band 4 have been asking for. To begin, he stated that both practice mode and setlists are both slated to be coming as early in the new year as possible. Things get a bit trickier when it comes to online play, however. “Online play with Rock Band is a big deal given the amount of different combinations of player (four potential instruments, different difficulties, song affinities between players, etc.),” Sussman said. “There is a ton of testing necessary as well technical back end to work through in order to provide a fun, stable experience.”
It may not come very soon, but you can be sure Harmonix is working on making online play happen. Rock Band 4 is available now for Xbox One and PS4.
