Amazon's drone prototype revealed by Jeremy Clarkson
Life after the BBC isn't looking too bad for former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson. Amazon snapped him up pretty quickly and now he's narrating a video explaining how their new drone delivery system is going to work and revealing a brand new prototype. For those not in the know, Amazon intends to launch a fleet of drones to deliver your orders in potentially thirty minutes or less. Flying up to heights of 400 feet and using sense and avoid technology these drones could revolutionise the way we order and receive packages.

For those not in the know, Amazon intends to launch a fleet of drones to deliver your orders in potentially thirty minutes or less. Flying up to heights of 400 feet and using sense and avoid technology these drones could revolutionise the way we order and receive packages.
But I’ll let Clarkson do the explaining in the video below:
This won’t be a service that is available everywhere of course and Amazon still don’t have a date for when the service is intended to be available.
“We will deploy when and where we have the regulatory support needed to safely realize our vision,” Amazon says. “The FAA is actively working on rules and an approach for unmanned aerial vehicles that will prioritize public safety. Safety will be our top priority, and our vehicles will be built with multiple redundancies and designed to commercial aviation standards.”
Amazon expects drone delivery for packages to become commonplace in the future. “One day, Prime Air vehicles will be as normal as seeing mail trucks on the road today,” it claimed.
