FIFA’s long time competitor, PES, has a new strategy for pulling in new players. PES 2016 has a free version now available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, and is being dubbed an “entry level” version of PES.
The game includes full access to the myClub feature, a full training mode, and seven teams to chose from. So far, there has not been a version announced for the Xbox One or Xbox 360.
The free version of PES 2016 was announced back in November, but the version didn’t launch until December 9th. All future gameplay content updates will support PES 2016 free version. The decision to make PES 2016 have a free version is certainly a unique system, usually only found within mobile markets or the Freemium section. It could be an interesting alternative to very limiting demos.
