The PS4 was the top-selling console in the US during the month of November 2015 according to the latest NPD report.
While the Xbox One topped the charts in October 2015, Sony reclaimed the top of the charts this month with the PS4. Both consoles certainly saw a surge in sales thanks to deep discounts during Black Friday where each was available for in bundles for $299.
Sony claimed the PS4 helped them achieve the best Black Friday they have ever seen, adding that November was the “biggest month ever for PlayStation Store indicating a strong digital marketplace complementing healthy retail sales.”
Microsoft released a statement saying, “November 2015 was the best November on record for Xbox One in the US, setting new records for console sales, game sales, and Xbox Live engagement.”
Nintendo did not reveal any sales numbers for Wii U and 3DS during the month of November, but said that Amiibo figures sold 1.2 million units in November, bringing their lifetime sales for the figures in the US to just over 11 million.
