Rockstar Games studio has announced a Christmas themed update for Grand Theft Auto Online. The new update, titled Festive Surprise 2015, is available now through January 5, 2016 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Festive Surprise 2015 follows two previous Christmas themed events dating back to 2013 and contains previous content from the past updates. In addition to substantive additions the update will contain snowy weather effects and snowball fight random events.
New Content for the 2015 update includes:
- New Santa outfits and snug pajamas for in game avatars.
- New Christmas themed masks.
- Christmas themed car horns.
- Christmas trees added to the game map and player bases.
Nothing says Christmas like pulling off a heist dressed like Mr. and Mrs. Clause
Alongside the in game content Rockstar is also holding a contest in search of the best in game selfie as well as Twitch and YouTube broadcasts. Contest winners will be rewarded with in game cash and get their screen-shot featured on the GTA social club website. The GTA holiday livestream will start broadcasting Tuesday December 22 at 5pm EST on Twitch and YouTube Gaming.
