As if sci-fi fans didn’t have a big enough reason to watch Star Wars: The Force Awakens on December 18th, J. J. Abrams just gave us another equally good reason to see it. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the first trailer for Star Wars Beyond will be premiering during the before-the-movies credits.
Star Trek Beyond is being produced by J. J. Abrams’s Bad Robot production company. While the first two films were directed by Abrams, he’s taken a step down from the role to direct Star Wars: The Force Awakens. In his place is Justin Lin, who has already directed Fast and Furious 6 and True Detective. As well, Idris Elba has joined the cast of Star Trek Beyond.
Star Trek Beyond is set to premier in theaters on July 22nd, 2016.
