Witcher dev says it would be unfair to fans to not make a 4th game
While longtime protagonist Geralt's story might have ended in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, CD Projeckt Red has made it very clear they have no desire to abandon the world of The Witcher. CEO Adam Kicinski has stated that to not make a 4th Witcher game would be unfair to fans."It's too early to talk about it, but it's not like we're forgetting about this brand," Kicinski clarified on Polish TV station TVN24 BiS, "It wouldn't be fair towards the fans. We work within this universe for over a dozen years now and I don't think it's going to be the end of it."

The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt released in May of this year to overwhelming critical acclaim. This past week the game won the Game of The Year award at the Game Awards, and CD Projekt Red won Developer of The Year.
While the dev team doesn’t appear to have any concrete ideas on where to take the series next, it seems likely that a new Witcher game will happen, albeit not in the near future. CD Projekt Red is currently working on a new dystopian RPG called Cyberpunk 2077.
