Xbox boss Phil Spencer has made it clear that Microsoft will allow virtually any developer to use their cloud technology, including developers of exclusive content for other systems.
A fan reached out to Spencer on Twitter, asking about Titanfall 2 and how they would “”hate to see the franchise lose out on Azure Cloud computing and servers.”
Spencer told the fan: “Azure services are available to any game, even other platform’s exclusives. We wouldn’t keep someone from using.”
Spencer refused to release any other details pertaining to Titanfall 2, it’s use of Azure-based cloud tech, and other such specifics. Titanfall’s first iteration used cloud-based servers to great acclaim.
Until more information is released, the future of Titanfall 2 and it’s use of cloud tech is a mystery to consumers.
