Microsoft marketing executive Yusuf Mehdi is a bold individual, saying that Xbox One owners can look forward to the “best lineup” of games over 2016.
“If you like to game, this is the year to get an Xbox” Mehdi further stated. “We have Halo 5 launching. We have Minecraft on Xbox. We have Gears of War, Tomb Raider. The best lineup; next year will also be the best lineup. That’s led to really a great success on Xbox.”
So far, next year’s lineup for the Xbox One includes Quantum Break, Crackdown 3, Inside, Scalebound, Below, Gears of War 4, Killer Instinct Season 3 and Sea of Thieves. These are all either full console exclusives or times exclusives for the Xbox One, releasing over various points in 2016.
If the whole thing sounds familiar to you, that’s because Microsoft marketed 2015 on the basis that it was the “best games lineup in Xbox history.” However Mehdi’s comments now follow on from Xbox marketing executive Aaron Greenberg, who stated back in October that 2016’s lineup could be bigger than last year’s.
