According to Gamespot, Microsoft has confirmed the release date of the upcoming DLC for Rise of the Tomb Raider entitled Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch. The DLC will drop on January 26th.
Microsoft previously said that the new expansion will feature “hours of new gameplay” and in addition to adding a new storyline, new enemies, a new outfit, and a new bow, the expansion will also include a new tomb for players to explore.
“Baba Yaga expands the story of the main campaign with Lara facing deadly new adversaries, exploring a new puzzle filled tomb, and solving a decades old mystery,” Microsoft said in a statement about the new content, “All culminating in a showdown with an ancient and mythic evil.”
There’s no word yet on how much the upcoming DLC will cost on its own, but it will be included with the $30 season pass. Baba Yaga is the second expansion to be released for Rise of the Tomb Raider as an Endurance Mode was released last December. The Endurance Mode is available to purchase for $9.99. The third and final expansion that was announced last year is Cold Darkness Awakened which is expected to be released sometime later this year.
