WB Games has announced pricing for the upcoming Mortal Kombat XL bundle and the individual DLC Kombat Pack 2 for the popular fighting game.
Mortal Kombat XL will retail for $60 and contains the base game and both DLC packs, Kombat Pack 1 and 2. The PS4 and Xbox One versions will be released on March 1st. There is no word yet on a PC version.
Kombat Pack 2 features four new playable characters in the game, Leatherface, Alien’s Xenomorph, Bo Rai Cho and Tri-Borg, and will unlock the pre-order character Goro. The DLC will also include multiple character skin packs. Kombat Pack 2 will be released on its own for $20. The first DLC, Kombat Pack 1 retailed for $30.
As WB Games details in the chart below, Mortal Kombat XL is for gamers who don’t own the game and want to jump in with all of the available content. The XL Pack is for gamers who own the base game and want to catch up on the new content the publisher has released since the game’s launch.
Developer NetherRealm recently announced that they are re-tooling Mortal Kombat’s online multiplayer experience for both the PS4 and Xbox One. There are also rumors that NetherRealm will be dropping future support for the PC version of the popular fighting game.
