As the release of Uncharted 4 looms ever closer, Game Director Neil Druckmann has offered up just yet another thing to get excited about. Posting on Twitter, he shared the picture you can find below, the review proofs of the art for the game’s steelbook, offered as part of the collector’s editions. “Looks even more gorgeous in person,” Druckmann says.
While the front is similar to what we have seen before, when the collector’s editions were first announced, it is a bit brighter and the characters are arranged differently. Nate is most prominent, with his brother by his side, Elena and Sully flanking the bottom, with who we now know to be Nadine Ross, a new character, in the middle. Voiced by the excellent Laura Bailey (Tales from the Borderlands, Infamous: Second Son), we recently saw Nadine introduced as she beat up Nate during a trailer from The Game Awards last month.
It’s still unknown who the last character is, but with the game releasing April 26th, we’ll know soon enough.
What we haven’t seen until now however is the back of the case. While its unlikely the skeleton in the iron maiden is anyone we know, it’s a creepy, ominous call back to the reveal trailer we saw of Uncharted 4 for back at E3 2014.
Uncharted 4 made it on our list of the most anticipated PS4 games of 2016. Want to know what else is on the list? Check it out here. As we continue to wait though, what do you think of the art? Let us know in the comments.
