Even though it released back in November, Call of Duty: Black Ops III seems stronger than ever as it finishes a seventh straight week at the top of the UK retail sales charts. This comes for the week ending on January 23rd, reported by Chart Track.
With the new year seeing a break from massive game releases so far, eight of the top ten games are favorites from last year, the last two rereleases of older titles. While Black Ops stayed in the top spot, FIFA 16 switched places with Grand Theft Auto V, taking second, pushing GTA to third. Two big games from this past fall, Rainbow Six: Siege and Star Wars: Battlefront follow in forth and fifth, both notably online only games.
Following in sixth and seventh we have the remake of Resident Evil Zero in the Resident Evil Origins Collection and the retail release of Square Enix’s time travel filled narrative adventure game Life is Strange. Just Cause 3 and Fallout 4 fill in eighth and nineth, while “retailer promotions” fueled the jump of Dishonored: Definitive Edition from no.32 to no.10.
